On Tuesday at Bendigo speedy Toronado filly She’sallshenigans returned in outstanding order with a dominant sprinting display to take out the National Hotel Maiden Plate.
After showing an abundance of speed in all of her trials and on debut in the stakes race at Caulfield, after a great spell at Merricks Station, She’sallshenanigans was well placed dropping back to two year old maiden grade today. With regular rider Blaike McDougall engaged, she jumped a touch awkwardly but mustered speed to take up the leading role with the stakes placed Godolphin trained Heuristic to her outside. She travelled sweetly throughout and wasn’t really challenged for the lead until the final furlong where Blaike asked her the question and she responded, bursting away to win comfortably with the Mick Price trained Tymon running on strongly into 2nd.
This result is an incredible result for our owners who have collected not only the winner’s prizemoney of $14,850 but a Super Vobis Bonus of $8,400, a Vobis GOLD bonus of $20,000 and a $30,000 Vobis Sires Boost voucher.
Congratulations to all of the owners including Merricks Station, who have cared for her while spelling and produced her back to the stable in outstanding order.
This filly will now head to the Listed Cinderella Stakes in Adelaide on Adelaide Cup Day where we’ll be looking at add valuable black type to her CV.
