The SZR Bloodstock team were hard at work throughout the week and we believe we’ve picked up one of the glamour fillies of the entire sale in this stunning grey Written Tycoon filly.
WRITTEN TYCOON is one of the most successful sires in Australian history, producing 12 individual group 1 winners. His list of outstanding fillies and mares is growing by the day through the deeds of the high class COOLANGATTA to go with retired Group 1 stars BOOKER, PIPPIE and ODEUM.
WAIKATO RIVER is a quality broodmare by champion sire SAVABEEL. She is the half sister to an incredible three stakes winners including G2 Matriarch winner OCEANEX and a further two siblings are stakes placed. Waikato River has also produced the stakes placed SPECTACLE.
This filly was just a queen in every sense of the word, a beautifully built and well balanced filly with great size and scope for a late November foal. She’ll blossom into a lovely type over the next 12 months and we expect her to develop into a Thousand Guineas type filly as a three year old.
She was purchased from the elite operation at Merricks Station who loved the filly so much that they’ve taken a share in her. There is only 35% left in this filly so we urge anyone who wants to get involved in a quality grey filly to get in touch with the stable now.
