On day one of the NZB Ready to Run sale we purchased lot 91, a colt by Vadamos out of Listed winning More Than Ready mare Floramour.
He was one of the first horses we looked at when we arrived for inspections and after two days of sorting through every lot, we didn’t find another one that we liked more.
The colt has a lovely pedigree being by Vadamos, sire of NZ Group 1 winning mare La Crique who recently ran 4th in the G1 Empire Rose during the Flemington carnival.
His dam Floramour herself won the Listed Manihi Classic but it’s as a broodmare that she’s been the star, producing 6 horses to race for 6 winners including Group 3 winner Manolo Blahniq and G1 Queensland Derby place getter Caboche, a full brother to our colt. Simon loved the way this colt breezed up and he looks the perfect derby type for next season. He has a lovely action and really uses himself well.
