As soon as we’d completed inspections we only has eyes for one filly and this was her. Throughout the sales season we’d been searching far and wide and we were finally able to land the one we wanted.
The Autumn Sun was an out and out champion who we quite possibly never saw the best of. Defeated only once in nine starts, The Autumn Sun amassed five Group One wins including the Golden Rose and Caulfield Guineas double.
The dam, Landslide, is by elite broodmare sire More Than Ready. She is a half relation to two stakes winners and her only foal to race is a Listed placegetter.
We rated her as the best filly we saw at the sale and we were surprised to be able to secure her for $180,000. She had an outstanding attitude, lovely lengthy walk and was perfectly conformed. She’s a real classic type of filly we’d be hoping to aim at races like the Thousand Guineas and possibly even the Oaks. Class with a capital C.
