SUPER SETH was an outstanding racehorse and very much in the mould of his sire Dundeel. He was a versatile horse, wining over sprint trips and being stakes placed two year old before graduating to Group racing as a three year old where he took out the Group 2 McNeil Stakes over 1200m. But without a doubt his crowning moment was his electric Group 1 Caulfield Guineas victory where he produced a withering turn of foot to run down champion racehorse Alligator Blood.
OKAHU BAY is a Group 3 winning mare, taking out the SA Fillies Classic as a three year old. She hasn’t just limited her success to the track either, producing star colt PAREAUNUI BAY who was New Zealand’s best three year old colt in his generation, winning a Group 2 before being struck down with injury early in his career.
The colt was purchased from arguably the best farm in New Zealand, Trelawney Stud, who have bred an incredible 33 individual Group 1 winners including I’M THUNDERSTUCK, GRUNT and OCEAN PARK.
Simon was a massive fan of this colt from the moment he walked out of the box. He has real strength and presence, but was certainly one of the best movers on the entire sales complex. He looks a real staying type to target at all the Derbies and we can’t wait to get him home and into the system. He was purchased for $100,000.
