We were thrilled to be able to pick up this exceptional classic type of colt from Wentwood Grange, a farm known for producing champions of the turf in Australia and New Zealand including Kolding, Kermadec and I Am a Star.
Sacred Falls was a superstar racehorse amassing 4 Group 1 wins and almost $4.7m in prizemoney in a stellar career in Australia and across the Tasman. He was especially brilliant at the Randwick mile, taking out two consecutive Doncaster Mile’s and then returning the following season to win the George Ryder Stakes. A truly classy and durable horse.
After passing away in 2019, he has left us with some fantastic progeny including Group 1 winner Aegon and classy $3.7m earner Icebath. The dam of this colt, Baysa, was herself a very classy mare winning 3 races and performing well in a Group 1 Queensland Oaks, finishing only 2.6L behind star filly Egg Tart.
She is a half sister to Group 1 winner Magic Cape.
We are looking forward to seeing this colt progress and become a real guineas and derby type as a three year old.
