A Gr.1 winning son of I Am Invincible’s high achieving sire Invincible Spirit, Royal Meeting hit the ground running with the Gr.1 Blue Diamond Stakes winner Hayasugi a member of his first small debut crop.
There are another ten winners from that crop and the best is still to come with Royal Meeting serving his biggest book yet last spring.
This attractive filly is a half-sister to the talented four-year-old Material Dreams, winner of five races including the Listed HC Nitschke Stakes.
Her two time winning dam Lincoln’s Sunset is by one of New Zealand’s best stallions of recent times – the five time Gr.1 winning Danehill horse Darci Brahma whose daughters have produced 14 stakes winners including the big race winners Ozzmosis and Pier.
Lincoln’s Sunset is one of the seven winners produced by Southern Sunset, also dam of the stakes placed gallopers Aurora Lights and Westsouthwest. Her stakes placed dam Due South – grandam of the Gr.3 winner Ballybacka Lady – is a half-sister to the Gr.3 winner Winter Romance.
This family has also been represented by a star stallion, the Gr.1 Dewhurst Stakes winner Storm Bird whose son Storm Cat has been a worldwide influence.
The Invincible Spirit/Danehill cross that produced this colt is an exceptional one – 223 stakes winners bred on this combination with 24 of those horses being Gr.1 winners… Royal Meeting’s sadly ill-fated daughter Hayasugi one of those.
