Description
We have long been on the lookout for a progressive staying type from the UK, and boy didn’t we find one here!
Race Card is by outstanding British sire Kingman, who not only won 3 Group 1’s himself, but sired champions including Palace Pier and Persian King who are both at stud themselves. Kingman produces tough, durable racehorses in both hemispheres and is emerging here in Australia with horses of the calibre of Sinawann winning stakes races and looking like a Group 1 winner in waiting. His stats are simply astounding, siring 43 individual stakes winners with plenty more still to come.
Race Card’s dam Kazeem has already produced a champion in 4-time Group 1 winning Al Kazeem who was Joint Champion Older Male in Europe in 2013.
His win over 2400m in the UK was simply outstanding, showing an exciting turn of foot which is an absolute necessity in Australian staying races. He comes across to Australia with a low rating and should be able to go through the grades with ease. He’s a strongly built gelding with a lot of presence and looks a lot more versatile than your typical rangy UK staying type horse.
