The filly is by first season sire EXCEEDANCE. Exceedance was the champion colt of his generation, taking out the sire-making Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes, beating home Group 1 winners Bivouac, Cosmic Force and Alabama Express. He himself is a blueblood colt, being by the unparalleled champion juvenile sire Exceed and Excel and is the full brother to Group 2 winner Oxley Road and stakes winning mare Mac N Cheese.
The dam Reply Churlish is a metropolitan winner of 5 races, 4 of those in succession. She is by arguably the best broodmare sire in Australasia in O’REILLY. She is the half sister to dual Group 3 winner DARCI BE GOOD and boom Kiwi sprinter BABYLON BERLIN who is Group 1 placed on three consecutive occasions in New Zealand, before venturing across to Australia and running a very unlucky race in the Group 1 William Reid Stakes this year.
She was found at exceptional value, with the hammer coming down at $80,000. She will also be raced with Melbourne Demons players James Harmes and Bayley Fritsch.
