On day 3 of the Gold Coast Magic Millions sale SZR have struck gold with the purchase of a strapping Exceedance colt out of the well related mare Arctic Success for just $95,000 + GST to be raced with the Simon Zahra Racing Ladies Club.
EXCEEDANCE is a boom first season sire by the champion stallion EXCEED AND EXCEL. Exceedance was the best colt of his generation taking out the stallion-making Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes in stunning fashion beating subsequent Group 1 winners Bivouac and Alabama Express.
ARCTIC SUCCESS is a mare from one of the best families in the stud book being a half sister to Golden Slipper winner Polar Success. She also boasts a perfect record at stud, producing runners for three winners, including the promising stakes placed mare ROOTS and metropolitan winner of 8 races ARCTIC THUNDER.
He’s a strong bodied colt with a lot of a scope and a very athletic walk. Being a November foal, there’s plenty of development left in him and will be every chance to be an early runner and hopefully have us back up here next year for the Magic Millions 2yo Classic.
