On day two of the Magic Millions sale Simon Zahra Racing, in conjunction with Jonathon Scully Bloodstock purchased this outstanding colt by boom sire Capitalist for $100,000.
CAPITALIST has become the go-to stallion in Australia when looking for speed horses. A winner of both the Magic Millions 2yo Classic and the Golden Slipper, Capitalist was one of the best two year olds we’ve seen in the modern era, and has certainly passed on that speed and quality to his progeny. He has sired Group 1 winner CAPTIVANT as well as crack sprinters MARINE ONE and PROFITEER in his short time at stud and we expect trend to continue.
This colt was a lovely balanced mover with a nice strong shoulder and hindquarter. He looks well equipped to become a nice two year old we can set for the Magic Millions races with the scope to train on at three. He is all paid up for the lucrative Magic Millions series and should see us racing for outstanding prizemoney within 12 months. He was purchased from well renowned farm Rosemont Stud, who we’ve had great success with in the past.
