Description
Sons of Not A Single Doubt are doing a great job representing the thriving Redoute’s Choice branch of the Danehill sire line and the Gr.3 galloper Anders who was so brilliant winning four in a row has made an encouraging start to his stud career with three nice winners amongst his first runners.
A horse good enough to win four in a row including the Gr.3 San Domenico Stakes (3 1/4 lengths over Peltzer) and the Listed Rosebud (four lengths too good for Ole Kirk), Anders had both class and speed.
Some of the best members of this sire line throw to Not A Single Doubt’s Gr.1 Golden Slipper Stakes winning dam sire Rory’s Jester and this flashy chestnut is certainly one of those!
He is a son of a proven broodmare, the imported Fairy Feline whose tough and talented sire Mr Greeley is recognised as an outstanding broodmare sire influence with his daughters producing 97 stakes winners including six Gr.1 horses.
Despite having only a handful of daughters in Australia, Mr Greeley is making his mark down under as broodmare sire of the Group winners Four Moves Ahead, Oakleigh Girl and Emeralds, noting that the first two of those are – like this colt – members of the Redoute’s Choice sire line.
Fairy Feline is dam of the multiple (Flemington, Sandown and Doomben) city winning sprinter Proper Rogue who did such a good job winning seven of his 21 starts, amassing over $300,000 in stakes.
Fairy Feline’s lightly raced city placed four-year-old Lion’s Pride is also showing ability as is her three-year-old Bastet, a $360,000 yearling.
Fairy Feline is a half-sister to four winners including the Gr.1 Santa Anita Oaks heroine Crisp (dam of the multiple stakes winning Japanese galloper Danon Pharaoh) and the stakes winner Deer Valley (dam of the Listed winner Wide West).
The Gr.1 gallopers Why Why Why, Tamarkuz, Enable To Loose, Punctilious Without Parole, Solford and Stay Thirsty hail from the same branch of the Mahubah family – one which produced one of the greats of the turf – the US Hall Of Fame member Man O’War.
That legendary galloper is the grandsire of Relic – and Not A Single Doubt is line-bred to that horse. Which gives this colt a very interesting pedigree, one which also includes a cross of the terrific mare Grey Flight via her sons Misty Day and What A Pleasure
